Location: Piney Flats, TN or Remote (Continental U.S., excluding California)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (minimum 24 hours per week)
Position Summary
The Catalog Experience Manager will be responsible for making contributions that ensure the quality, completeness, and usability of Engine Pro’s digital and print catalogs. The core of the job is research: you will track down all the vehicle and engine applications a particular part fits, unique features which assist in differentiating the product offered, and the specifications that make a listing trustworthy, then get that information into our database, contributing to an accurate, intuitive, and valuable cataloging experience for professional engine builders and parts professionals. You will become the owner of the Engine Pro catalog experience.
We’re looking for someone who knows engine and related parts, not just spreadsheets. If you can look at a part and know the right questions to ask about what it fits, and you take pride in getting a listing exactly right, this role is built for you. A wrong application in a catalog costs a shop time, creates lost sales and unnecessary returns, and costs our brand trust. Getting it right is the whole job.
Approximately 33% of this position focuses on evaluating the user experience of our digital and PDF catalogs through testing, reporting, and usability recommendations. The remaining 67% is dedicated to identifying and addressing product data deficiencies, improving product attributes, and enhancing catalog content at the individual SKU level.
Responsibilities
· Evaluate the usability and effectiveness of Engine Pro’s digital and PDF catalogs.
· Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience based on real-world catalog usage and feedback from our user base.
· Utilize AI to enhance accuracy and completeness of product data.
· Develop and submit requests for programming to recommend usability enhancements and new catalog functionality based on reported catalog issues or user needs.
· Identify and address missing, inaccurate, or incomplete product information such as images, descriptions, fitment applications, categorization, warranty statements, etc. at the SKU level, prioritizing workflow by sales volume.
· Work extensively within Microsoft Excel to analyze, organize, and submit improved product data.
· Partner with other Engine Pro team members to improve product descriptions, attributes, specifications, and categorization.
· Help ensure product categories are structured in ways that reflect how professional users search for engine components.
· Participate in ongoing efforts to improve catalog quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required
· Three or more years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, with engine parts experience preferred.
· Strong understanding of automotive or engine component applications. Parts counter, machine shop, engine building, jobber, or cataloging experience matters more to us than a pure IT or data-entry background.
· Experience working with product catalogs, product data, or technical product information.
· A research mindset, comfortable digging through OE and competitor catalogs, technical data, and supplier resources to nail down a fitment.
· Comfortable with spreadsheets and the ability to learn catalog/database (PIM) tools.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Ability to recognize inconsistencies and identify opportunities to improve product information.
· Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
· Limited travel will be required (annual group and industry trade shows)
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
The ideal candidate enjoys solving data problems, understands how automotive professionals search for parts, and takes pride in making technical information more
accurate and easier to use. They are naturally curious, detail-oriented, and will continually ask, “How can we make this catalog better?”
Work Arrangement
· Local position based in Piney Flats, Tennessee, or remote within the continental United States (excluding California).
· Full-time or part-time opportunity available.
· Part-time employee must be available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.
If you feel making the jobs of parts professionals across the world easier by helping create better cataloging experiences is a skill and passion you could embrace, we’d love to hear from you.
